A WOMAN’S body has been found near Maentwrog, but police say her death is not being treated as suspicious.

Emergency services were called to a wooded area just off the A496 near Maentwrog at 12.30pm today (Wednesday).

A North Wales Police spokesman has told the Cambrian News the woman was found hanging.

HM Coroner for north-west Wales has been informed.

A spokesperson for the Wales Ambulance Service said: “We were called at just before 1pm to an incident just off the A496 in the Maentwrog area. An emergency ambulance attended.”
