CRICKET is set to return in Mid Wales next weekend after the West Wales Cricket Conference was given the green light.

Teams will pick up the fixture list as they stand, with all games taking place this season being friendlies as there aren’t enough weekends to complete a full season,

Aberystwyth will return to the crease on Saturday, 25 July against Rachel’s Talybont on Geufron field near Glan yr Afon, with Aberystwyth Seconds travelling to Tywyn on Sunday, 26 July.

New rules are to be introduced which include the ball being sanitised every six overs and no tea break.

The 40 over games will take place between 1pm and 6pm every Saturday and Sunday between 25 July and September.

Spectators are welcome to attend so long as they maintain social distance.
