LLANILAR Reserves extended their lead at the top of the Cambrian Tyres Aberystwyth League to five points with a convincing 5-2 victory away to Padarn United on Saturday.

Dylan Rogers was the star of the show, helping himself to a hat-trick, while Jayden Hopkins and Sean Bevan also found the net. Serge Shostak and Kwame Koramoah replied for the hosts.

Second-placed Tywyn Bryncrug Reserves suffered a 4-2 defeat at Borth United, where Tommy Lovebridge’s hat-trick proved decisive. Tom Spruce added the fourth for Borth, while Logan Lewis scored both of the visitors’ goals.

Dolgellau Athletic Reserves climbed into third place with a 3-1 win at Bont. Owain Kelly struck twice, with Rhys Jones also on target for Dolgellau. Dion Davies scored Bont’s consolation.

A brace from Ryan Davies, alongside goals from Michael Fitzpatrick, Owen Roberts and James Graham, helped Talybont secure an emphatic 5-1 victory over Barmouth & Dyffryn Reserves. Jack Thomas netted the hosts’ only goal.

Elsewhere, Corris United claimed a 4-2 win over Ceidwaid Aberystwyth thanks to goals from Peter Inglis, Derek Roberts, David Jones and John Freestone. Jamie Cattermole scored twice for the Seasiders but could not prevent defeat.
