DYSYNNI Hockey Club heads into the new season full of optimism after a series of encouraging performances from its senior and junior sides in pre-season tournaments across North Wales.

Strong displays, valuable game time and impressive results provided the perfect preparation for the campaign ahead.

Dysynni 1sts were in action at a pre-season friendly tournament held in Bala on 12 September.

The team started off with a 0-0 draw against hosts Bala, won their next game against Llanfair, lost to Pwllheli 2-0, and the same scoreline against Welshpool.

They finished with a win against Bangor and finished in fourth place overall.

Dysynni 2nds also had their pre-season tournament at Pwllheli. The team started well with a win over hosts Pwllheli, a single goal in it.

They also won their next game 2-0 against Bangor, but fell 2-0 to Caernarfon in their last game who pipped them to third place on goal difference.

A close tournament and a good warm up for the season to come.

Junior hockey started at Mold with club Northop Hall hosting girls and boys tournaments for the day.

Dysynni fielding a mixed team in the boys section, were the strongest on the day winning their first game against Northop Hall 3-0.

They went onto to beat Denbigh 3-0 and finished with a big win over Eirias 6-0.
