BALA Town slipped to a second successive defeat as Gap Connah’s Quay reclaimed their position in the top half of the Dafabet Welsh Premier League with a 2-1 win at the Deeside Stadium on Saturday evening.

Although the Lakesiders started brightly, Les Davies’s saw a shot excellently saved in the 19th minute by Ashley Morris and Jay Crowther was there to claim his first goal of the season.

Bala came out of the second half blocks with a bang and in the 54th minute Lee Hunt headed the equaliser from close range - but it was a Les Davies header from a similar distance which ultimately claimed the victory for Jay Catton’s men.
