LLANILAR signed off their Cambrian Tyres Aberystwyth and District League division one campaign with a 3-1 win over second-placed Tregaron Turfs - a result that ensures Penparcau will be crowned as champions.
Llyr Davies netted for Tregaron, but goals from Guto Roberts, Ryan Edwards and Sion Evans sealed the three points, to leave Llanilar in good heart for the Cambrian Tyres League Cup Final against the Turfs at Aberystwyth’s Park Avenue on 13 May.
Penparcau moved eight points clear at the top of division one on Monday evening when they recorded a 3-2 win at Bow Street Reserves in their penultimate league fixture.
Ben Holt, with a brace, and Lee Jones made it 16 league wins from 17 matches for the Emrys Morgan Cup winners, who will be hoping to complete the treble when they take on Llanilar in the final of the Julia Newman Memorial Trophy Final at Park Avenue on Monday, 20 May.
Talybont completed their campaign on Monday with a 4-3 win over Aberystwyth University Reserves, scoring twice in the last 10 minutes to secure the win.
Nathan Ash hit a hat-trick for the students, but Dylan Benjamin, Charlie Turner, Jamie Barron and Osian Thomas, from the penalty spot, sealed a top four finish.
Runners-up Tregaron Turfs signed off their league campaign with a 7-2 win at Aberystwyth University Reserves on Wednesday. Rhun Garner and William Williams both scored twice, along with goals scored by Caradog Daniel, Llyr Davies and Dylan Davies. Nathan Ash and Pablo de Torres replied.
The Second Division Trophy Final between division two champions Penrhyncoch Thirds and Aberdyfi is set for Thursday, 16 May at Park Avenue.
