PENRHYNCOCH once again showed their never-say-die attitude as they salvaged a 2-2 draw with Welshpool Town at Cae Baker to maintain their proud unbeaten record within the Spar Mid Wales League division one.

Playing their first league game in several weeks, the Roosters looked to be heading for defeat when they were trailing 2-0 against the Lilywhites.

They hit back late on, however, with goals from Jonathan Evans and Arron Lemon to earn a share of the spoils, which lifted them up to second spot, one point adrift of leaders Llanrhaeadr - but with three games in hand.

Player-boss Gari Lewis admitted it had been tough going in testing conditions, with the wind and rain, but again praised the resilience of his side.
