PORTHMADOG manager Craig Papirnyk says the Club is looking to bounce back from the disappointment of being relegated to the third tier of the Welsh pyramid

After finishing third-from-bottom in Cymru North when the season was curtailed, the Traeth club will now take their place in the North Wales West Division.

Papirnyk, however, is determined to see his side make an immediate return to the second tier, and urged supporters at the Traeth to remain positive.

“The news was not what anyone who supports or is involved with the club wanted,” admitted the Port boss.

“However, it is not the time to feel sorry for ourselves, now is the time to be more positive than ever. Several players have announced that they are fully committed for next season, and I will update the supporters with further player announcements and exciting new signings.

“I feel confident that we will be going all out to get back up next season, and with a good core group of players I have the foundation to build a team not only to go and win Tier Three next season, but prepare to go and challenge in Tier Two when we return.

“I am now more than ever hungry for success, and relish the challenges ahead.”

He added: “There are many good things going on right now off the field, the revamping of the stand, changing room, officials area and treatment room has shown me the club has its ambitions, and this hard work is the proof.

“Players and management will come and go, as is football, but the club will always remain and continue to grow.

“Now more than ever, the club’s supporters should remain positive and get behind the committee, and must ensure that our club will be here for many years to come.”

Already on the retained list for next season are Paul Pritchard; Tom Emlyn; Josh Banks; Ceri James; Ifan Emlyn; Gareth Jones Evans; Rhys Alun and Jamie McDaid.

Iddon Price and Cai Jones have joined Caernarfon Town, and Shaun Cavanagh has signed for Prestatyn. Rob Evans and Iwan Lewis have also left the Club, whilst Tomos Clarke, Dewi Thomas, Jack Jones, Tomos Smith, Dylan Sweeney and Steve Jones have joined this summer.
