TREGARON Turfs have stepped up their pressure on frontrunners Penparcau at the top of the Cambrian Tyres Aberystwyth and District League with a 3-2 win over Bow Street Reserves.

Goals from Tom Bates and Rhydian ap Owen looked to have earned the Magpies a share of the spoils, but Jones’ last-gasp winner moved the Turfs to within six points of Penparcau, and with a game still in hand.
Third-placed Llanilar are just three points behind Tregaron, with a game in hand, after a battling 2-1 win over Aberystwyth University Reserves.

The visitors soon doubled the lead, as a long ball caught out the defence, and Evans lifted the ball over the advancing Rhodri Morgan from 20 yards.
Bont started the second half positively, and soon got their rewards when substitute Tomos Jones set up captain Ben Lewis to fire home from 12 yards.
With their tails up, Bont were soon level, as another attack saw the ball break to Jones in the box, and he slotted under the keeper for his first senior goal, to earn a well-deserved draw.
Penrhyncoch Reserves were 4-2 winners at home against Machynlleth Reserves, with Tom Cezcerelya and Mike Worsell scoring for the visiting side.
