EXCITEMENT is building as Tregaron Turfs prepares to host its seventh annual Junior Football Festival on Saturday, 20 June 2026, with all age groups kicking off at 10am.

Now firmly established as one of the most well-respected junior tournaments in the area, the one-day event continues to grow in both size and reputation, attracting teams from all over Wales.

This year’s festival promises to be the biggest yet, with over 20 pitches being set up to accommodate a full day of football, all starting simultaneously at 10am.

The tournament will feature a wide range of age groups, from Under 6 right through to Under 16, including U6, U7, U8, U9, U10, U11, U12, U13, U14, U15 and U16 categories.

There will also be dedicated girls-only competitions at Under 11 and Under 15 level, reflecting the continued growth and support for the girls’ game.

The scale of the tournament is reflected in last year’s impressive statistics. A total of 286 games were played, involving 115 teams and around 850 young players.

Organisers are proud to provide an event that not only promotes grassroots football but also creates a fun, inclusive environment for players, coaches, and families alike.

The festival has become a key date in the junior football calendar, known for its excellent organisation, sporting atmosphere, and strong community support.

This year’s tournament is kindly sponsored by Chris Wilkins of CBW Property Management, whose support helps ensure the continued success and growth of the event.

With registrations already filling up quickly and some age groups at capacity, interest in the 2026 festival is at an all-time high. Teams wishing to take part are encouraged to secure their place as soon as possible.
