Bala Town have named Chris Venables as captain for the upcoming season.

Lakesiders manager Colin Caton said: “Chris Venables will be club captain again for the 2020/21 season.

"The professionalism and his workrate, plus how he conducts himself during the working week as a semi-professional footballer is excellent.

"He trains like a professional footballer and turns up to Bala in absolutely great condition with a great attitude.

"He thoroughly deserved his place in the Cymru Premier Team of the Year without a shadow of a doubt, so it’s a no brainer that Chris will be the club captain this year and it’ll be great to work alongside him again.”
