SARN Helen Running Club duo Dawn Kenwright and Richard Marks did the club proud when they represented Wales at the British and Irish Cross Country Masters International at Santry Park, Dublin.
Richard was competing in the Men’s Over 65s category, and this was his sixth appearance at the event, having also represented Wales several times on the track.
Both ran in the first race of the day, which saw all the Ladies’ age category runners take part, alongside the Mens’ 65s and 70s runners.
Richard set the standard with a superb run as he picked up his first-ever individual medal at this race.
Having produced some fantastic times on the road over the past 12 months, he was not deterred by the muddy conditions as he claimed a superb individual bronze medal in his race.
Dawn was also competing in the Women’s Over-60s, and was looking to use all her national experience, having ran for Wales 33 times, with her first representative vest being way back to 1988.
She finished the race 10th in her age category, and the highest-placed Welsh entry.
