MORE THAN 120 Llyn motorcyclists hit the road on Sunday to raise money for the Llanberis Mountain Rescue Team. This was the Llyn Bikers’ seventh annual fund-raising ride, on 10 April.
Over the last six years, the biking group has ran a fundraising day and raised over £33,000 for local good causes including Breast Cancer Care; Gwynedd Home Hospice Care; support for Llywelyn Williams, from Bwlchtocyn, who was knocked down by a car near Abersoch and lost his leg and the British Heart Foundation Cymru.
Last year they raised £10,500 for the Special Care Baby Unit at Ysbyty Gwynedd.
The 125 bikers who took part this year started their 100-mile trek from Pwllheli, before riding through Beddgelert to the Snowdon Mountain Railway. They then rode back through Penygroes and down to Aberdaron before returning to Llanbedrog.
