WELL respected local farmer Marc Davies has been thanked for 20 years service with the fire brigade.
Marc, who is also a Ceredigion county councillor for Ffosyffin, joined the Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service part-time 20 years ago and has risen to the rank of crew manager.
At a small, socially distanced ceremony, at the Aberaeron Fire Station, station manager Kelly Hughes, who manages Aberystwyth and the surrounding stations, presented Mr Davies with his 20-year long service and good conduct medals.
Kelly congratulated Marc on his achievement.
Mr Davies said: “It has been a very rewarding and enjoyable experience and I would urge anyone who is interested in joining the fire brigade and serving their community in this way to contact their local station”.
