A MAJOR Ceredigion road remains closed between Aberaeron and Llanrhystud following a crash this morning.

Police have closed the A487 at Llanon in both directions following the collision which occurred at around 10.25am.

Police remain at the scene of the incident which involved one vehicle.

A Dyfed-Powys Police spokesperson said: "The road is currently closed and the public are asked to avoid the area if possible."

The details of the collision are not yet known, including whether anyone was injured.
