THREE Ceredigion groups are celebrating the news that they are among the latest in Wales to receive National Lottery grants.
EPIC Dad CIC have been awarded £10,000 to provide training and ongoing support for new fathers in Ceredigion.
Jon Butler, project lead for EPIC Dad Wales, said: “It’s fantastic that we have been able to secure funding and support from The National Lottery to grow this great work of supporting?men, empowering?fathers?and transforming families in Aberystwyth and this area of Wales.
EPIC Dad Wales is key in strengthening families in our communities, to see the role of?fathers thriving as they raise their children and future generations.”
Elsewhere, Mid Wales Rape Support Centre will use £100,000 to deliver counselling skills courses in Mid Wales, with modules being developed through lived experience.
Volunteer placements with the organisation will enable students to gain experience and be able to support people in the communities.
MHA Communities Aberystwyth will use £9,860 to set up a day centre for both residents at their care home and older people in the wider community to come together to undertake activities.
The groups are among 62 projects celebrating receiving a share of £836,417 in National Lottery grants this month.
The National Lottery Community Fund distributes money raised by National Lottery players for good causes.
