Police are investigating following the sudden death of a woman in Penparcau on Thursday night.
Officers were called to Rhydybont in Penparcau at around 9pm on Thursday evening following the death of a 48-year-old woman.
A spokesperson for Dyfed-Powys Police said: “Officers were called to the property by the ambulance service shortly before 9pm on Thursday, 20 June.
“Following a post mortem examination, the cause of the woman’s death is unknown.
“Her next of kin is aware of this development, and our thoughts are with them at this time.
“A 40-year-old man, who was arrested at the property on 20 June, has been charged with the breach of a restraining order and today (Saturday) sentenced to 16 weeks in prison for the offence.
“The investigation into the woman’s death is ongoing.
“People living in the Penparcau area of Aberystwyth might be aware of a higher than usual police presence as officers work to establish the events leading up to her death."
