Police have launched an investigation following the death of a motorcyclist yesterday afternoon.

A collision occurred at around 3.15pm on the A44 between Capel Bangor and Goginan and a motorcyclist, who has not been named, died at the scene.

The road was closed while emergency services attended the scene.

Police are appealing for information from the public.

A spokesperson for Dyfed-Powys Police said: “Dyfed-Powys Police is investigating a fatal road traffic collision which occurred on the A44 between Capel Bangor and Goginan at approximately 3.15pm on Wednesday.

“The vehicles involved were an orange Honda motorcycle and a blue Volvo HGV lorry. It is believed the motorcycle was travelling eastbound with two other motorcycles.

“Sadly the motorcycle rider passed away at the scene. Next of kin are aware and are being supported by specialist officers."
