Police are carrying put patrols to target illegal off-roaders at a number of Ceredigion beauty spots this weekend.

With the easing of lockdown restrictions, Dyfed-Powys Police has received a lot of community concern over the resurgence of the anti-social use of off-road vehicles and bikes.

This weekend members of the Dyfed-Powys Police Roads Policing Unit, together with colleagues from the force’s Rural Crime Team, will be conducting targeted patrols in beauty spots across Ceredigion.

Insp Matt Howells, the force’s rural crime lead, said: “Safe and appropriate enjoyment of the stunning Ceredigion countryside is the right of all members of the community and we take the concerns raised relating to the irresponsible and anti-social behaviour of a minority of persons very seriously.

“We will be taking appropriate action through proactive engagement and where necessary enforcement action.”
