POLICE officers are searching a stretch of the River Teifi this afternoon after it is believed a man in his 20s fell in.

Dyfed-Powys Police are coordinating the search after reports that a man has fallen into the River Teifi from Bridge Street, Newcastle Emlyn.

Police attended the scene at 12.33pm and remain there, along with fire, ambulance, RAF search and rescue helicopter conducting a search of the river. Next of kin are aware.
