Police are appealing for witnesses after a “horrific incident” at Efailnewydd.

The Rural Crime Team was called out yesterday after eight ewes were found dead.

Rhys Evans, of the North Wales Police Rural Crime Team, attended the scene and described it as a “horrific incident”.

"This is the result of a dog or dogs being let loose and set on the animals in the field. It’s a horrific sight for people to see,” he added.

"We are now appealing for witnesses and will be making enquiries."
