AN Aberystwyth schoolboy has set himself the challenge of doing 25 push ups a day for 25 days to raise money for Children In Need.

Giacomo Gornall, who is a pupil at St Padarn’s Primary School in Aberystwyth will complete his push up challenge on Friday, Children in Need Day, having raised nearly £650 for the charity so far.

Giacomo said: ”I like keeping fit and doing exercise so thought if I could raise money for children that need it.

“I thought I should give it a go. I cant believe how many people have sponsored me for doing push ups.”

Giacomo’s mum, Michela, said: “Myself and dad, Mark, are very proud that he’s managed to do the press ups every day and is raising money for a great cause.”
