ORGANISERS of the Newcastle Emlyn Art Festival are hoping the whole town will get involved with this year’s event.
Following the success of the inaugural festival last year, the 2017 event is set to be bigger and better.
Not only will it be a two-week festival rather than a week as previously held, it is also hoped that every business in the town will take part.
“Every shop in Newcastle Emlyn has been made aware of the festival and our aim is to see as many artists as possible exhibiting their work,” said one of the art festival organisers Rhian Davies from Siop Gelf y Wiber.
“We had a great response from many last year, and our hope is to welcome our regular artists as well as new ones.”
The festival will run from 31 July to 12 August and the Ceredigion Art Trail will follow on from that until 28 August.
“I hope it will follow on from last year’s success and attract not only artists to exhibit their work but also attract more people into the town to look in shop windows,” added Rhian.
“Many who come to the town go to various food places to eat, and it would be great if all shops had the same opportunity and could attract an audience.”
