A NUMBER of events are coming up during this month at the theatre.On Friday, 7 December, at 7.30pm, The Choir, starring Dustin Hoffman, is being screened.The Choir tells the story of a choirmaster who pushes his young, talented but troubled student to fulfil his potential. This highly acclaimed film is rated PG.Further details can be obtained by calling the box office on 01341 281697.On Saturday, 5 December, there will be a matinee performance of Treasure Island by the Louche Theatre Company, at 2.30pm.This take on Robert Louis Stevenson’s classic tale of adventure is a stylish, humorous piece of entertainment with original music.On Wednesday, 16 December, there will be the Christmas Ceilidh, a regular seasonal event which is a Yuletide barn dance with music from Mooncoin. An expert caller will guide you through the steps. The evening starts at 7.30pm in the Arts Room.

Cancelled viewing

DUE TO unforeseen circumstances, the Hugh’s Views session planned for Monday, 7 December, in the Arts Room of the Dragon Theatre has had to be cancelled.Organisers say the event may be rescheduled in the new year.

Fund-raising

MEGAN Griffith, a member of staff at the A&E department of the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital, is asking for anyone who is organising a big fund-raising walk or run in 2016 to contact her.Megan, who hails from Barmouth but now lives in Shrewsbury, along with her colleagues, is keen to come to Barmouth to raise money and show support for any fund-raising events.Anyone wishing to contact Megan, should do so by searching for her on Facebook.
