BIG changes are coming into force today as lockdown eases and several Ceredigion town centres are pedestrianised to make them more Covid safe.

From today (Monday, 13 July), pubs, bars, cafes and restaurants are allowed to reopen - but outdoor spaces only.

Also allowed to reopen from today are many indoor visitor attractions, hairdressers and barbers and places of worship.

And from 11am today, pedestrianisation of several of Ceredigion’s town centres begins.

Aberaeron, Aberystwyth, Cardigan and New Quay are the first towns to see Safe Zones implemented.

Safe zones will be created by closing roads and removing on-street parking from 11am to 6pm daily from today Monday, 13 July.
