Cardigan Castle’s bed and breakfast accommodation has scooped the ‘most original’ prize at a national awards ceremony.

UK booking website Eviivo announced the award at a ceremony in London last month.

This week, Ceredigion County Council chairman Cllr Gill Hopley presented the castle team with the award.

“I’m very proud of you all,” she said.

“The castle has done wonders for Cardigan and this award is well deserved.”

The bed and breakfast accommodation – which is two double rooms and a family room in Ty Castell – has proved a success story for the castle with regular bookings and rave reviews from guests.
