THIS year is the 20th anniversary of the Cardigan Bay Seafood Festival in Aberaeron.

For the last 20 years for one Sunday in July, Aberaeron harbour has been captivating visitors and locals with some of the best seafood cookery and dishes you will savour.

Again this year, 10 top chefs will perform fish cooking demonstrations on the quay on Sunday, 9 July.

They are Stephen Terry, The Hardwick; Will Holland, Coast; Dudley Newbery, Miskin Arms; Bryan Webb, Tyddyn Llan; Gareth Ward, Ynyshir; Hywel Jones, Lucknam Park; Stuart Phillips, The Hundred House; Sue Manson, Y Polyn; Gareth Johns, The Wynnstay and Ludo Dieumegard, Harbourmaster.

Festival organiser Menna Heulyn said: “This will be the 20th Cardigan Bay Seafood Festival which is held every year along Aberaeron harbour.

“Where else in the world can you see such exceptional chefs demonstrating their talents at close hand in such an unique location?

“We are delighted with the line-up of chefs at this year’s event. We really believe that seeing these chefs cook close up can inspire the next generation of Welsh chefs.

They are dedicated and passionate professionals and great role models for budding young talent.

They will be showcasing some great fish and shellfish dishes from catch landed on the Welsh coast.

“We are grateful to all the volunteers who have signed up to help us on the day, but are always looking for more support. Anyone who fancies helping a chef prepare on the day, contact [email protected].”
