AN EVENT has been organised in Llandre to remember the life of a community stalwart who died of injuries sustained in a car crash in March.

David England, known as Dai, will be celebrated at the event in Bethlehem, Llandre, on Friday, 20 November, at 6.30pm. Proceeds will be going to the Wales Air Ambulance.

Wynne Melville Jones, chair of the Banc Bro community group organising the event said: “The death of Dai England, following a horrific accident in March this year was a very big blow to the family and to the area.

“Dai was very active in the area and was one of the Banc Bro founders.

“The event is being organised to commemorate the life of Dai and his contribution to the life of the area with an opportunity to make a financial contribution to this worthy cause.”

Mr England was originally from Comins Coch, but had lived in Llandre for many years.
