AN Aberystwyth charity shop will close tomorrow with the charity appealing for help to find another premises in the town.

The Tenovus Cancer Care shop in Great Darkgate Street will close on Friday after the lease on the property ends.

But the charity has said it wants to continue to have a shop in Aberystwyth and has asked for suggestions from the public to identify an alternative premises that would enable the charity to keep raising funds in Aberystwyth.

Terry Osborn, the director of income generation at Tenovus Cancer Care, said: “Our shop in Aberystwyth has been an important part of the community for 20 years, with all profits from the shop going directly towards helping people affected by cancer.

“All money that is raised in this area stays in this area, so it’s really important to us that we find other premises as soon as possible so that we can keep serving the people of Aberystwyth.”
