A mental health charity has thanked the organisers of a classic car run which raised over £1,000.

The Llanfihangel y Creuddyn Classic & Rally Car Run was held over the August Bank Holiday with crowds drawn to the run which featured a host of classic and unique cars.

The event has been running since 2017 and has raised thousands for charities.

All proceeds from this year’s run went to the charity Mind.

One of the rally organisers, Caitlin Morse, said: “Mind are a charity who are committed to improving mental health. “They are an asset to our communities. “The pandemic has affected the mental health of so many people over the past 16 months, so the event will be raising money to help support the fabulous work that they do.”

Jamie Jones-Mead thanked the rally for their donation this week, saying: “Mind Aberystwyth would like to thank everyone for raising this sum of money. The funds will go towards providing vital services for the community. “These include Well-being support and self help support, support for new mums and group activities.”
