THE December meeting was held in the British Legion Hall and the vice-president welcomed 18 members.

All the business matters were discussed, and reminders given for times of the coach for Christmas dinner on 13 December.

The sherry and mince pies were served and enjoyed.

Treasurer Robyn Henson gave a demonstration of three very decorative ways of folding dinner paper napkins, and they were all able to have go.

Jackie Swetman gave some very good ideas on ways of wrapping Christmas presents using eco-friendly brown paper instead of non-recyclable gift wrap.

Karen Wright had everyone guessing with a true/false quiz, which was quite hard but enjoyable.

The raffle was won by Sally Davies.

The next meeting will be on Wednesday, 3 January, in the British Legion Hall, and will be a members evening.
