Committee

THE chairman of the Aberaeron Committee, Neris Lloyd, gratefully accepted a donation of £247 on behalf of Cancer Research from the Aberaeron Tennis Club.

This money was raised by the ladies section who held a Prosecco and strawberries afternoon on the last day of the successful week long annual Tennis Club Tournament.

Committee members were again present in Square Field on Carnival Day with the “Pot of Gold” and thank everyone for coming to the table to purchase a “square”.

The generosity of the winner and runner-up, N Davies and M Fry respectively is appreciated as both returned their prize money to boost the coffers for Cancer Research.

A total of £314 was raised.

The next fundraising event is on 7 October when the annual Cheese and Wine Evening is held at the Aberaeron Sports Club.

Entertainment will be provided by Côr Cardi-Gan.

Admission by ticket obtainable from committee members.
