Senior Citizens

THE first meeting for 2018 will be held on Thursday, 18 January in Peniel Chapel Vestry. Entertainment will be provided by Dafydd Jones, a National and Urdd Eisteddfod winner, and his accompanist Neli Jones.

Memorama

TICKETS are available for Sing On! performances next week from Thursday, 18 to Saturday, 20 January at the Memorial Hall at 7.30pm.

The play tells the story of a group of diverse actors putting on a musical with much hilarity.

Bridge Club

Winners this week were Keith Bellamy and Gill Howells with John Valentine and Mike Jones in second place. Keith and Gill were the only ones to find the thin but makeable slams on boards 21 and 23 using the Blackwood convention to confirm the number of aces and kings.

The Bridge Club meets in the Royal British Legion Hall each Thursday at 6.45pm – newcomers are eagerly welcomed.

Afternoon tuition for beginners and improvers is at 1pm in the Feathers Hotel on Wednesdays.

Next week they will be looking at the dark art of competitive bidding.
