Bridge Club
WINNERS were Gill Howells and Lee Collier, getting a practice in for the Mid Wales King Arthur Swiss Teams to be held on 20 May, in Pant-y-Dwr.
Herbie Rowley and Nigel Symons Jones came second and Virginia Willey and Valerie Wylie third.
There were three boards in which either one, two or four slams were bid and made.
Aberaeron Bridge Club meets in the Royal British Legion Hall each Thursday at 6.45pm – newcomers are eagerly welcomed.
A new round of afternoon tuition for beginners continues at 1pm on Wednesdays.
In the improvers section, we dealt with competitive bidding which included playing a 7 Club sacrifice that had come up in the Pembroke Club last week.
Please come along if you want to learn to play this exciting and mentally stimulating ‘mind sport’.
