Christmas lunch

MORE than 40 people attended a Community Christmas Lunch put on by Borth Family Centre’s Young Parents Group.

The group had been successful in their application for a Gwirvol Youth Volunteering Grant to run a community lunch for older people in the community.They decorated the centre and planned and cooked a three-course festive meal.

The Young Parents Group meets every Friday morning at the centre. All parents under the age of 25 are very welcome to attend.

Eglwys Fach Church held a successful coffee morning in the Iron Room recently, with £83.50 raised for the centre.

Parents attending the group also received their Agored Cymru Certificates for the Level 2 Award in Work Related Education.

The course was run by Area 43 and took place in the centre as part of the Young Parents Group.
