Easter

STRATA Florida and Cilgerran Castle will be hosting special free events to celebrate Easter.

Cadw has organised a number of events at sites managed by the preservation team and is inviting visitors to hop along to their nearest site.

Easter crafts and an egg trail will be held at Strata Florida Abbey between Friday, 30 March and Monday, 2 April between 11am and 4pm.

On Wednesday, 4 April and Wednesday, 11 April between 1.30pm and 4.30pm, Easter crafts sessions will be held with tutorials on how to create cards, masks windmills and sheep magnets.

A Cadburys’ Easter Egg Trail will be held at Cilgerran Castle between Friday, 30 March and Monday, 2 April between 10am and 4pm.

Hunt around the castle for all the clues to find the answer to your riddle, then head back to claim your delicious Cadburys’ Easter Egg!

This event is organised in conjunction with the National Trust.

Minister for culture, tourism and sport, Lord Dafydd Elis-Thomas said: “We’re delighted to be able to offer such a varied itinerary of Easter events this year, from family fun to historic re-enactments, there’s bound to be something for everyone.

“We look forward to welcoming locals and visitors alike to celebrate the occasion with us, while taking in Wales’s rich history at some of our most impressive sites.”
