St David’s Competition
THE winners of two St David’s Day competitions have been announced.
As Storm Emma Swept through Meirionnydd on the day of Wales’ patron saint, a competition for best-dressed winner and Dilyn y Draig (Follow the Dragon) were postponed until fairer weather. The winners have now been announced. Meinir Wyn of Moncrieffe, Dolgellau, won the window-dressing competition for the second year running, whereas sisters, Annie and Nel Pughe, found the hidden dragons in Tywyn. Bet Huws, Meirionnydd’s language development officer for Hunaniaith, applauded everyone who took part in the festivities.
