Easter egg raffle

THE Giant Easter Egg raffle, sponsored and organised by the Rotary Club, is under way with all proceeds going to Llanidloes St John’s Cadets.

It will be drawn on or before presentation night in the Red Lion Hotel, Wednesday, 4 April, 7.30pm.

Raffles on sale at Woosnam and Davies Newsagents, Longbridge Street.

Holy Week

MAUNDY Thursday, 29 March: 7pm at Llanidloes Parish Church.

Good Friday, 30 March: Walk Of Witness 10.15am from the Top of Town, Great Oak Street followed by 10.30am service at St Idloes Church.

Simba

THE Rhayader Players present Simba, the story of a young lion cub who just can’t wait to be king.

Back for one day by popular demand.

On Saturday, 14 April, 2.30pm and 7.30pm, £8 for adults, £4 children, doors open 30 minutes before curtain up, raffle and tuck shop pre-performance.

THERE is a coffee morning at Chatwood, 6 Longbridge Street, on Saturday, 7 April, between 10am and 12.30pm, in aid of Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity.

THE Wesley Singers celebrate Easter and Springtime with two concert performances at Llawryglyn on Tuesday, 27 March in the Methodist Chapel at 6.30pm and Tuesday, 3 April at 7pm in the Longbridge Methodist Church.
