Coed y Bont

INSTEAD of the scheduled 1 July draw, the 100 Club draw was made on Sunday, 2 July, to coincide with one of the monthly events that the Coed y Bont committee and volunteers organise.

People attending the event gathered around as Mandy Cowie invited one of the visitors to the event, Lesley Clare, to draw the numbers from the bag.

The first number drawn was 57 belonging to Ffion Edwards, Bont; the second number drawn was 85 owned by Jayne Greef, also of Bont; and the third was 21, the prize money for that ticket going to Emily and Lily Suiter, also from Bont.

Thanks were given to all those who bought tickets in the hope of not just occasionally winning but also to support Coed y Bont.

There are another three opportunities to win – in October, January and April.

There is also a short video clip on Facebook – search for Pontrhydfendigaid Village – if you want to see the draw taking place.
