THE latest community news from Tywyn
Garden Club
On Tuesday, 13 November, Tywyn Garden Club met in the town’s Baptist Church.
Chairman Margaret Evans introduced Tony Easterby, who gave a delightful talk with many slides about his holiday to Japan during the spring – the season of the Cherry Blossom from coast up to mountains.
The photography was spectacular and it was a most enjoyable evening. The vote of thanks was given by Curly, who was also the lucky ticket winner.
Thanks were given to secretary Sue Yeomans for doing the handouts on ‘what to do in the garden this November’. She had also arranged for the post Christmas annual meal to be held at the Proper Gander on Sunday, 27 January at 1pm.
The next meeting is on 11 December and John James will give a demonstration of Christmas flower arrangements.
A competition for men and women will be ‘Any arrangement suitable for Christmas’ to be judged by Mr James.
