A DISGUSTED Gwynedd councillor has lambasted errant dog owners in Dolgellau after she discovered poo on her front doorstep.

Linda Morgan, who has long campaigned to keep the streets clear of dog mess, has suggested the problem has got worse over the last six weeks.

She said several residents have voiced concerns to her about dog mess around town, and she has labelled those who do not pick up after their pet as “totally irresponsible”.

She said: “I’ve had many complaints regarding dog fouling in the town over the last six weeks.

“A small minority of dog owners are totally irresponsible and do not care about the consequences of allowing their dogs to foul outside houses in Y Lawnt.

“They start opposite Tabernacl Chapel. This is near the Cylch Meithrin, so it’s unfair for the children.

“I do not understand why the owners do not pick up the mess. I opened my front door the other day and there was poo on my step!

Later in the day there was more outside my window. This has been reported to Gwynedd Council, things must change and soon.”
