AN ABERYSTWYTH man with a history of offending has been jailed for two weeks for drug possession.

William McPherson, of 9 Corporation Street, pleaded guilty to possessing 1.9 grams of cannabis in Aberystwyth on 13 August when he appeared before Aberystwyth magistrates last week.

The 39-year-old was jailed for 14 days as magistrates said he has a “history of committing similar offences”­.

McPherson must also pay costs to the Crown Prosecution Service of £85.
