A Cardigan man who was caught driving at more than 100mph has been fined by magistrates.

Llanelli Magistrates' Court heard on 28 November that Seamus Michael Slater, of Ty Rhos, 49 North Road, was caught driving a Vauxhall clocked by laser as travelling at 103mph on the A48 at Pensarn near Carmarthen on 2 May this year.

The 49-year-old was fined £120 and handed six penalty points on his licence.

He must also pay £90 costs and a £48 surcharge.
