A Llanbadarn Fawr man has been fined by magistrates after admitting a charge of drug possession.

Jason Mason, of 2 Pendre Cottages, appeared before Aberystwyth Magistrates’ Court on 30 October.

The 44-year-old pleaded guilty to possessing 721 tablets of Gabapentin on Alexandra Road in Aberystwyth on 23 May last year.

Magistrates handed Mason a fine of £40.

He must also pay costs to the Crown Prosecution Service of £85.

Magistrates also ordered the forfeiture and destruction of the drugs.
