AN Aberystwyth man has been given a restraining order to stay away from his wife after magistrates heard she had been left scared after he started shouting at her.
Clive Hodson, of 10 Rhydybont in Penparcau, pleaded guilty to assaulting Corrine Hodson on 8 November. He admitted that he had grabbed a phone out of her hand and shouted at her during an incident.
Ellie Morgan, prosecuting, said the couple had been together for 20 years, but there had been problems previously with Hodson, 46, acting violently towards Mrs Hodson.
Ms Morgan said Mrs Hodson had suffered a seizure and was unable to move on 7 November but, despite asking Hodson to call an ambulance, he refused to do so and went to bed.
Mrs Hodson was feeling better the following day, but when she asked her husband why he hadn’t helped her, he said it was because she “wasn’t worth it”.
