A Pwllheli man who was involved in a three-hour siege has been remanded in custody.
Benjamin Evans, 23, of Bro Cynan, appeared before Caernarfon Crown Court last week and admitted charges of unlawfully wounding Ronald Simmons and having a bladed or pointed article.
Evans was arrested following what was described as an armed siege near his home on 23 March this year.
He denied a charge of causing grievous bodily harm with intent to Mr Simmons and the Crown Prosecution Service said it would not seek a trial on that charge.
There was no application for bail and Evans was remanded in custody until a further hearing in May.
