AN ABERYSTWYTH woman will stand trial in April after appearing in court to deny the assault of two police officers.

Meicha Jane Harvey, of Flat 8, 2 Albert Place, appeared before Aberystwyth Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, 19 January.

The 27-year-old pleaded not guilty to twice assaulting both Pc Rees and Pc MacNamara – once during an incident in Powell Street, Aberystwyth and again at Aberystwyth police station.

Harvey also denied damaging a door belonging to Wales and West Housing Association.

All the offences are alleged to have occurred on 30 October last year.

Harvey will stand trial for the assault and criminal damage charges at Aberystwyth Magistrates’ Court on 6 April.

Magistrates remanded Harvey on conditional bail until the hearing date.
