A WOMAN who sent abusive and threatening messages to her ex-partner and his current girlfriend, told him that “the sooner you’re dead, the better”, magistrates have heard.
Rose Emily Davies Bitouni admitted that she had bombarded Christopher Tompkinson and his partner Jessica Moore, who live in Cardigan, with abusive phone calls and messages, as well as making foul-mouthed calls to Mr Tompkinson’s employer.
Bitouni, 32, of 39 Tan y Felin, Greenfield in Holywell, pleaded guilty to two charges of harassment between 18 December last year and 2 February 2017, and two charges of making indecent or offensive calls on 1 February.
Prosecutor Rhian Jones said Mr Tompkinson and Ms Moore had both received abusive messages from Bitouni, with several of the messages containing threats toward Mr Tompkinson, whose relationship with Bitouni had ended around five years ago.
Ms Jones said Bitouni then phoned J Harries Electrical, where Mr Tompkinson works, and was heard by staff members shouting and swearing down the phone.
She said that more text messages were sent to Mr Tompkinson, including one message saying that “the sooner you’re dead, the better”.
In a police interview, Bitouni said that while she didn’t remember sending the abusive text messages, she accepted they came from her phone, but told police that as many as 20 people had access to the phone.
Bitouni said she had been “irate” at Mr Tompkinson due to a family matter and had “gone on a bit of a rant”.
Defence solicitor Katy Hanson said Bitouni accepted that she had “lost her temper” as a result of a family dispute with Mr Tompkinson.
But she added: “She accepts her behaviour crossed a line and her language in the calls to the place of business was unacceptable and she regrets that.”
Ms Hanson said Bitouni had been under pressure at the time and that had contributed to her behaviour.
Magistrates said they wanted a pre-sentence report into Bitouni before deciding how to sentence her. She was released on conditional bail until a sentencing hearing on 21 June.
