AN EXCITED county councillor is looking forward to showing her home town off to the world.

Cllr Linda Morgan is looking forward to the OVO Energy Women’s Tour visiting Wales for this first time this summer (17 June) as the final stage of the global event starts in Dolgellau.

“We are delighted to be welcoming the Women’s Tour event in Dolgellau, it will be nice to see some of the best female riders in the world,” Cllr Morgan told the Cambrian News.

“We also welcome the worldwide media coverage that comes with this event.

“Great for Dolgellau and all the businesses.

“They will have stunning scenery during the race from Dolgellau to Colwyn Bay.

“The town centre will be a great atmosphere for setting off the race, I’m sure it will be fantastic.”
