To celebrate their 70th anniversary this year, family-run jewellers TJ Davies of Aberystwyth are offering one lucky winner the chance to win a £70 voucher to be spent in the shop.

TJ Davies opened its doors for business in August 1948. Since then, the shop has become widely regarded as one of the finest jewellers in Wales, with customers travelling far and wide to visit, some from as far as Hollywood! 

The shop is at the heart of town life and the owners John and Ann Davies demonstrate a great knowledge from years of experience and a passion and keen eye for quality products. 

The jewellery shop was originally founded by John’s father Titus John Davies. John started working for his father in 1957 and became a partner in the business in 1969. Titus and his wife Annie retired in 1978 and John and his wife Ann became partners that year. 

In 1990 the jewellery shop moved to 11 and 13 North Parade and in 2009 The China Shop was relocated back to 10 Terrace Road after being at 16a North Parade for some years.

John and Ann’s energy and enthusiasm, along with their loyal team of staff, have been instrumental in building the reputation that the business now enjoys. The five present permanent members of staff have collectively worked a total of 128 years between them!
